The Rolling Stones are set to perform for the very first time in Israel on June 4.

“History in the Middle East: The Stones will come to 1 show in Tel-Aviv on 4th June 2014,” Benny Dudkevitch of is the Israel Broadcast Authority informs Noise11.com.

While the Rolling Stones are yet to confirm the show, news of the event surfaced at a press conference in Tel Aviv by promoter Shuki Weiss today.

The Rolling Stones postponed their Australian tour last week following the death of Mick Jagger’s longtime girlfriend L’Wren Scott. The Australian leg of the tour was due to start in Perth last Wednesday, March 19. Scott was found dead in New York on Monday, June 17. The Rolling Stones had already arrived in Perth for the tour.

The addition of a new show to the 14 On Fire tour is a positive sign for fans who are awaiting an announcement from the Australian promoter Frontier Touring Company, run by Michael Gudinski. Frontier have already confirmed that Stones fans should expect the band back in Australia in October and November. That time parameter falls after football season and before cricket season in Australia.

The Rolling Stones are now expected to perform at Park Hayarkon on June 4.
