Melbourne’s three-day Maggot Fest brings the rough punk, with Useless Eaters, Deaf Wish, Raw Nerves and scores more.
In its third year, Maggotfest brings out the big guns of garage rock, punk, hardcore, post-punk and noise, beginning with US act Useless Eaters, Kiwi quartet Raw Nerves, Brisbane’s Kitchen’s Floor, locals Deaf Wish, Ratsak and Straightjacket Nation, Sydney’s Whores and Raw Prawn, and Perth’s Helta Skelta.
It keeps coming with STAG and Psy Ants (Brisbane), Ghastly Spats, Family and Low Life (all Sydney) Tyrannamen, Gentlemen, White Walls, Leather Towel, Old Mates, Some Coma, Austmutants, Constant Mongrel, Taco Leg, The Stevens, East Link, Fighting League (Canberra), Ex Con, and Exhaustion.
All these acts play over three days in November, at Collingwood’s Gasometer for Friday and Saturday, and at Wooly Bully (104 Errol St, North Melbourne) and the Town Hall Hotel in North Melbourne on the Sunday.
