Indie rap king Aesop Rock and anti-folk hero Kimya Dawson add more guests to their extra-special Australian shows this week.

The pair are currently collaborating on an album, bringing their idiosyncratic lyricism together, and from that spawned their exclusive Australian shows ‘A Night With Aesop Rock And Kimya Dawson’.

The nights will feature solo sets from both Aesop and Kimya, as well as an Aesop set with Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz, as well as a Kimya and Aesop duo set.

Plus, for their Melbourne Festival spectacular they’re joined by Iraqi artist The Narcicyst and Syrian artist Omar.

Now they added even more music. “One man disco-accordion sensation” Donny Benet joins the party in Sydney. And noise-guitar artist Rick Fights (otherwise known as Matt Somers from I Heart Hiroshima) will kick off the shenanigans in Brisbane.

This is an absolute bounty of creativity, featuring some of the most exciting acts in the indie world. It’s sure to be a riot.

Tickets are available now from the venues, from www.melbournefestival.com.au and from consume.oztix.com.au.
