Alex Lloyd to Celebrate 20 Years Since Debut with Black The Sun 2019 Dates

by Paul Cashmere on July 5, 2019

in News

Alex Lloyd’s debut solo album Black The Sun was released on 5 July, 1999. Exactly 20 years to the day Alex has announced anniversary dates to celebrate his first Top 10 success.

Alex first grabbed attention as a member of Mother Hubbard in the 90s. That band had one album through Festival Records.

While ‘Black The Sun’ was a Top 10 album, the highest charting single from the album ‘My Way Home’ only peaked at number 50.

It’s hard to believe its been 20 years! A lot has happened in that time, however this album still resonates with me maybe even more so now. That’s why I am super excited to announce I am getting the band back together to head out on the road again to celebrate Black The Sun on its 20th anniversary.
Full band shows, all the bells and whistles, relive my 20’s … hell yes! “

Canada’s Hey Major will open for all shows.
