A severe storm shook the Big Day Out location at around 7:45pm last night and as a result the start of the Kanye West performance was delayed by 45 minutes.

That somehow translated in today’s media as Kanye coming on late to pissed off fans.

“Stop picking on Kanye the technical problems that delayed his start time by 45 minutes were from rain damaging our equipment,” Ken West said.

“The fact that he had the biggest crowd of the day and delivered an incredible performance with the huge crowd staying to the end of set even though it was 45 minutes later than scheduled is a testament to what a great artist he is. The next shows will be amazing. Miss them at your peril”.

Kanye West will also perform sideshows in Sydney and Melbourne on this tour. His dates are January 26 at Sydney Entertainment and January 29 at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl.

He will also appear at Big Day Out Sydney on Thursday January 26 and Melbourne on Sunday, January 29.
