Brooks & Dunn will return to Australia in March 2027 for their first shows here since 2009, bringing Ashley McBryde and rising Australian country artist Mack Geiger with them.

Brooks & Dunn will return to Australia for the first time in 18 years in March 2027, with the country duo bringing Ashley McBryde and Australian rising star Mack Geiger for two arena shows in Sydney and Melbourne.
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn will perform at Sydney’s Afterpay Arena on 24 March and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on 27 March as part of the Neon Moon Tour. The Australian visit will also include a headline appearance at CMC Rocks QLD as the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary.
For Australian fans, the tour represents the first opportunity to see Brooks & Dunn here since 2009. The duo’s catalogue includes some of the most recognisable country songs of the past three decades, including ‘Boot Scootin’ Boogie’, ‘My Maria’, ‘Red Dirt Road’, ‘Believe’ and ‘Neon Moon’.
Brooks & Dunn formed in the early 1990s and became one of the most successful duos in country music. Their combination of traditional country songwriting, rock influences and prominent vocal interplay produced 20 US country number ones and earned them two Grammy Awards and 20 CMA Awards.
Their influence has also been revisited by a new generation of artists. In 2024, Brooks & Dunn released REBOOT II, the follow-up to 2019’s REBOOT, with contemporary artists reworking songs from the duo’s catalogue.
The 18-track collection included collaborations with Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Megan Moroney and Jelly Roll, demonstrating how broadly the Brooks & Dunn catalogue continues to travel across contemporary country and beyond.
The Australian shows will feature Ashley McBryde as special guest. McBryde was last in Australia in 2023 for CMC Rocks QLD and will return in 2027 for another appearance at the festival before joining Brooks & Dunn for their Sydney and Melbourne concerts.
McBryde’s latest album, Wild, is described as a deeply personal record drawing on her own experiences. Her earlier album Never Will received ACM, CMA and Grammy Country Album of the Year nominations in the same awards season.
The other special guest has a particularly strong Australian connection. Queensland singer and guitarist Mack Geiger, now 21, has emerged internationally with his 2025 song ‘String By’. The track has accumulated more than 50 million streams worldwide and gave Geiger his Billboard Hot 100 debut.
Geiger’s musical references include Travis Tritt, Alan Jackson and Brooks & Dunn, making the upcoming pairing particularly appropriate. He has already performed at Australian country events including CMC Rocks QLD, CountryFest, Lasso Country Music Festival and Meatstock Toowoomba.
His career has also expanded into the United States, including appearances at CMA Fest and the Grand Ole Opry. He is scheduled to make his Stagecoach debut in 2027.
Brooks & Dunn have remained active well beyond their original peak, including an ongoing Las Vegas residency and extensive touring. Their current Neon Moon Tour has been extended through 2026, following UK appearances at C2C Festival and US touring.
