Comedian Jim Breuer Says Brian Johnson Was Kicked Out of AC/DC

Comedian Jim Breuer has been a long time friend of AC/DC singer Brian Johnson with Brian even having contributed to one of Breuer’s recordings.

Breuer recently recorded a new episode of his podcast The Metal in Me and told of visiting Johnson at his home shortly after the announcement that he was leaving AC/DC due to hearing problems.

According to all of the stories about the postponement of the AC/DC tour, Johnson was advised by doctors to stop touring immediately or risk totally losing his hearing. The band also said they would be looking for another singer to complete the tour.

Breuer, though, has a different story. He said in his podcast:
From what I gather, and I don’t have all the information, I only hear certain sides here. He said that he called and let them know, ‘Hey this is what the doctor said, but let’s try to figure this out. Let’s see what’s going on here, I don’t think it’s as bad as he said it is.’ Literally the next day in the press, it was ‘Brian Johnson, tour canceled, he’s losing his hearing.

Then he’s like, ‘You know what? I would really like to finish and do some shows. I think we can knock this out.’ Then all his luggage that he toured with showed up at his driveway. There’s been no calls. No, ‘How’s your hearing? How’s your health? What’s going on?’ Boom. Here’s your s—t, nice to know you.

There’s been no answer (from the band),” Breuer said. “He feels like he heard from someone that they already hired somebody, it just hasn’t been announced yet. (Brian) said it went from ’It’s canceled to ‘Now we’re gonna do it, but it’s gonna be like karaoke with guest stars.

I feel like I’ve been kicked to the curb.
After the story broke across the net, Breuer thought twice about his statements and decided to try and clarify the matter on his Facebook page:
I have seen some stories circulating about my podcast. As a friend, I saw Brian withdrawn for the first time in my life. He’s not a quitter, he seemed hurt by the situation of being between a rock and a hard place. I spoke as a true fan and friend, simply venting as if he was a brother of mine. I hope to see him Rock Out one more time. You have to remember I’m a comedian & a storyteller. I definitely exaggerate and sometimes I get a little carried away!! And this was one of those times!

Just to Clear the air- I was NOT QUOTING Brian Johnson- I was sad to see him depressed . I was Venting Things I felt to a friend – All Brian said was “I feel down & want to finish the job and hope it happens!” The rest was ME GOING OFF..

Finally, in a move that almost looks like he may have been called out by Johnson over his story, he posted the following video:
