Country Singer Mindy McCready Commits Suicide

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready has taken her own life at the age of 37.

Mindy recorded five albums. Her debut ‘Ten Thousand Angels’ sold over 2 million copies in the USA. She has also had 12 song on Billboard’s Country chart.

Mindy was born Malinda Gayle McCready in Fort Myers, Florida. She was 18 when she moved to Nashville.

The singer had a troubled lifestyle. In 2005, her ex-boyfriend Billy McKnight was charged with her attempted murder. She was hospitalized also then for a drug overdose after attempting to take her life and tried again after discovering she was pregnant with McKnight’s child.

Mindy attempted suicide again in 2008 but then in 2010 appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew.

In 2010, a sex tape of Mindy surfaced as went on sale through Vivid Entertainment. In May, 2010, she was once again hospitalized for a drug overdose.

The death of Mindy McCready was confirmed by her brother.
