Whitesnake’s new album in a homage to the David Coverdale Deep Purple era. In other words, Whitesnake singer David Coverdale is paying tribute to himself, when he was the singer of Deep Purple.

David Coverdale was the lead singer of Deep Purple from 1973 to 1976 and performed on the albums ‘Burn’ (1974), ‘Stormbringer’ (1974) and ‘Come Taste The Band’ (1975).

It’s a huge thank you from me to Deep Purple for the opportunity I was given over 40 years ago,” state’s Coverdale. “As I said to Ritchie, you guys set me on an incredible journey that continues today and I couldn’t have asked for better teachers.
