Destiny’s Child Spark Reunion Rumours After Instagram Post

Beyonce’s girl group Destiny’s Child has raised fans’ hopes of a reunion after an official Instagram account was launched in the band’s name.

Eagle-eyed social media users noticed the new profile pop up last weekend, but the news of its existence has only now hit headlines after a message on the Independent Women hitmakers’ official Twitter page publicised the Instagram account.

The post, uploaded on Thursday (27Oct16), read: “Destiny’s Child are on @instagram! Follow the girls now: http://www.instagram.com/destinyschild”.

The verified Instagram account has so far only shared images marking various milestones in the band’s stellar career, but its launch has sparked speculation Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams could be planning a special surprise for Destiny’s Child’s 20th anniversary next year (17).

The group split in 2006, but the ladies have remained close; Kelly and Michelle enjoyed a night out together on Monday (24Oct16) as they attended the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards.

At the event, Kelly revealed their red carpet appearance was a last minute decision, as they had been hanging out all day.

“We were actually at my house together, and I was like, ‘Do you want to come with me to this event tonight?'” Kelly told E! News. “And she was like, ‘Yeah!’ So we got dressed and came.”

And although Beyonce wasn’t in attendance, Kelly and Michelle were able to catch up with their longtime pal at a low-key dinner date the night before, much to onlookers’ surprise: “They often look at us sideways, like, ‘Are we really seeing this?’ It’s really cute,” Kelly smiled.

Despite the recent get-togethers and the looming anniversary, Kelly claimed there has been no discussion about a potential Destiny’s Child comeback.

“We haven’t even talked anything about that,” she insisted. “We’ve just been enjoying each other’s company and love and enjoying being women.”
