The Eagles performed at the new Forum in Los Angeles on Monday at a gala benefit for pancreatic cancer to honour their former agent Peter Grosslight who is suffering from the disease.

1,260 guests attended the event which also featured a performance by the legendary Joan Baez.

The night raised $2.5 million that will go to the The Lustgarten Foundation, America’s largest non-profit organisation funder for pancreatic cancer research. A further $10 million was donated by Stand Up For Cancer to support the benefit.

Cablevision Systems Corporation, The Madison Square Garden Company and AMC Networks underwrote all costs for the evening guaranteeing all money raised will go to The Lustgardten Foundation.

The Forum in Los Angeles was officially opened on Wednesday with a performance by the Eagles. The Eagles will perform six shows in total over the coming weeks at the newly refurbished venue.
