Glen Campbell has gone back into the studio, reportedly for the last time, to record a new song for the soundtrack of the EP soundtrack for the documentary Glen Campbell: I’ll Be Me.

Campbell revealed he was battling Alzheimer’s disease in 2011 and, since, has released two albums and toured a final time. His disease has progressed to the point where he is now in a care facility.

The new song, I’m Not Gonna Miss You, was written by Campbell and Julian Raymond and recorded at Sunset Sound Factory and East West Recording Studio in Los Angeles.

The song and the soundtrack will both be released on September 30. The EP will also include a cover by the Band Perry, a song by Campbell’s daughter, Ashley, and two live recordings by Glen.

The EP track list:
I’m Not Gonna Miss You – Glen Campbell
Gentle On My Mind – The Band Perry
Home Again – Ashley Campbell
Wichita Lineman – Glen Campbell (Live from Ryman Auditorium)
A Better Place – Glen Campbell (Live from Ryman Auditorium)
A full soundtrack album is expected later in the fall.

Glen Campbell…I’ll Be Me, will open on October 24 in New York and Nashville followed by a rollout to theaters across the country. Actor/director/producer James Keach directed.
