The Levellers have teamed up with Irish singer-songwriter Imelda May to record a new version of their singalong Top 20 hit, ‘What A Beautiful Day’.

The new version of this much-loved track – as popular on Football Terraces and at Wedding Discos as in venues and at festivals – is sung by Imelda and features the Levellers as her backing band. Recorded in the Levellers’ Metway Studios in Brighton earlier this year, the video also features extensive live footage from their own Beautiful Days festival, which sold out this year for the twelth year in succession.

A strictly limited edition 7″ vinyl version is being released on 15th September.

Beautiful Days is the third track in a series of collaborations to be released by the Levellers as part of their forthcoming Greatest Hits album, released on September 29th. The album includes every single and video ever released by the band, and includes 20 chart hits.

Released on a variety of formats both physically and digitally, there is also a unique ‘collectors edition’ 149-track Digital Box set comprising virtually every Levellers track ever recorded, which will be available from iTunes for just £29.99.

All versions include the recent collaborations with Imelda May, Frank Turner, Billy Bragg and Bellowhead.
