in Live,News

Japandroids will return to Australia in December with shows announced for Sydney and Melbourne.

Japandroids are Brian King and David Prowse. The band formed in Vancouver in 2006 and released their first album ‘Post-Nothing’ in 2009. A second album ‘Celebration Rock’ came out in 2012.

The newly active Japandroids are back together after announcing their breakup in 2013. On Facebook Brian wrote, “hey gang // brian here // after 200-and-something shows in 40-something countries, the Celebration Rock Tour is officially over! // thanks to everyone who came out to the shows and drank, smoked, sweat, bled, puked, fucked, fought, danced, dove, yelled, screamed, sang, and most importantly rocked with us these last two years // we will forever be in all of your debt for allowing us to do what we do // time for us to disappear into the ether for a while…y’all stay crazy/forever // x”

Japandroids dates

December 3, Berry, Fairgrounds
December 6, Melbourne, the Tote
December 10, Meredith, Meredith Festival
December 13, Sydney, Red Rattler
