Jimmy Barnes Scores His Second Best Seller Book

by Paul Cashmere on November 2, 2017

in News

Jimmy Barnes ‘Working Class Man’ is the biggest selling book in Australia this week making the rock icon a two time best selling author.

‘Working Class Man’ picks up where the first book ‘Working Class Boy’ finished. The first book concluded just as Cold Chisel were forming. ‘Working Class Man’ takes you through all of the sex, drugs and rock and roll of the Chisel and solo years.

“It’s not often I’m lost for words but this is about as close as I get”, said Jimmy Barnes. “I spent decades trying to keep all this stuff hidden from people but it turns out that talking about it is the best thing I’ve ever done. On behalf of my liver I just wish it had occurred to me to do it a bit sooner!”

Like ‘Working Class Boy’, Jimmy will tour ‘Working Class Man’ recounting the tales and performing the music of his life.

Leo Sayer Shares His Thoughts on The Passing of Sly Stone

There really is a riot going on right now, so what a poignant moment it seems to be to lose a hero I never met, yet a man I often imagined as my soul brother. I worked with many of his alumni (including the man who helped invent him, fellow San Fran disk jockey Tom Donahue), and to say they and he inspired me would be a useless understatement.
