Judge Stops Release of Prince Release This Friday

by Paul Cashmere on April 20, 2017

in News

The planned release of unreleased Prince music this Friday (21 April) has been halted by the courts.

The independent release of the promoted 6 track ‘Deliverance’ EP by producer George Ian Boxill has been delayed by a US court until May 3. A hearing is planned to learn further evidence why Boxill has the right to release the songs. The retraining order will be extended if he cannot provide proof of copyright ownership.

The title track from the ‘Deliverance’ EP was serviced to media today which means the music will most likely be given airplay.

Audio from the EP has also been uploaded to YouTube and at the time of publication was still available to stream.
