For the last two years, Kenny Loggins has been doing double duty, touring his own hits along with working on his new group, Blue Sky Riders.

The trio also includes singer/songwriters Georgia Middleman, who has written songs recorded by Reba McEntire, Keith Urban and Faith Hill, and Gary Burr whose compositions include Love’s Been a Little Bit Hard On Me (Juice Newton) and Make My Life With You (Oak Ridge Boys).

The group started a couple of years ago when Loggins and Burr started writing together and the idea of a group was first discussed between them. Loggins felt they needed a female voice so a call was put out that brought Middleman into the fold.

The band issued an EP two years ago, Live at the Rutledge, which was accepted enthusiastically by the fans of the three artists.  They were driven on to write and record their first studio recording, Finally Home, which will be released on January 29 via 3Dream Records.

The album is described as merging rock, pop and country in “an irresistible collection of 15 songs.” Dream is the first song that the band has played to introduce audiences to the upcoming album, to be followed by the song Feelin’ Brave which Blue Sky Riders launched in conjunction with their Portraits Of Bravery, social media campaign. Portraits Of Bravery was created in support of our veterans and their families as they re-adjust to their domestic life in the United States.

Blue Sky Riders will be appearing at the Sundance Film Festival, at the kickoff event for the reelection campaign of Al Franken and on the Jay Leno Show.

The track list for the album:

  • I’m A Rider (Finally Home)
