Swanee ‘Believe’ is the labour of love John Swan made with his family and friends.
The album features John’s brothers Jimmy Barnes and Alan Barnes. The track ‘Brother of Mine’ is the first ever recording with the three brothers together. Jimmy’s daughter, John’s niece Mahalia sings a song with her uncle. Jimmy’s brother-in-law Diesel is also on the record.
And that list of friends is long … Jon Stevens, Melinda Schneider, Colin Hay, Joe Camilleri, Russell Morris, Rock Springfield, Dave Gleeson, Jack Jones, Ian Moss, and Kevin Borich all contributed for their mate John Swan.
The album came together when Brian ‘Frog’ Harris of Songland Records championed this album for John. The songs are legendary, the guests are legendary and Swanee is legendary.
