Australian Legends Stamps
Australia Post is about to release the 2013 Australia Post Legends services.
The series will also feature five classic Australian albums from INXS, AC/DC, Cold Chisel, Men At Work and The Seekers.
The new 60c stamps will be issued by Australia Post soon.
For our younger readers a stamp is a same piece of paper usually purchased at a post-office with an image on one side and a gum adhesive on the other. It was then attached to an envelope with a name and destination written on the front and the inside containing a piece of written correspondence.
The stamp, envelope and letter (as the piece of paper inside was commonly referred to) was often used in the 20th century so that people could send messages to each other as quickly as within one week.
