Mick Jagger’s newborn son, Deveraux, has made his debut on social media.

The Rolling Stones frontman, 73, welcomed a baby boy with American ballerina Melanie Hamrick, 29, in New York earlier this month and now Melanie has taken to Instagram to show off her new baby boy.

“I’m so (in) love with my baby Deveraux Jagger,” she wrote. “Thank you @lizzyjagger for the sweet introduction.”

Deveraux’s big sister Lizzie Jagger unveiled the baby’s moniker on the social media site on Friday.

“So proud of my beautiful baby brother Deveraux Octavian Basil Jagger,” she wrote.

Mick has been dating Melanie on and off since mid-2014, just months after his fashion designer girlfriend L’Wren Scott committed suicide. Melanie fell pregnant with the tot, her first child, during the Rolling Stones’ tour of South America earlier this year, and she and Mick confirmed the news in July.

A month later, the couple reached a legally-binding financial settlement to ensure the mother and baby’s needs will be well taken care of, regardless of the status of Mick’s relationship with Melanie.

According to reports, Mick agreed to pay Melanie around $15,000 (£12,000)-a-month until the child turns 18. That means the dancer, who lives in New York, will bank an estimated total of $3.3 million (£2.6 million). Jagger also bought her a house.

Deveraux is Mick’s eighth child. He has four children with Texan-born model Jerry Hall – Elizabeth, James, Georgia and Gabriel, as well as daughter Jade with first wife Bianca Jagger, another girl, Karis, now 46, with actress Marsha Hunt, and son Lucas Jagger with Luciana Gimenez.
