Country legends Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee will get together again for the Urban Cowboy Reunion Tour across the USA.

‘Urban Cowboy’ was the 1980 film starring John Travolta and Debra Winger. It was Travolta’s third hit movie after ‘Saturday Night Fever’ and ‘Grease’.

A lot of the scenes from the movie were shot in Mickey Gilley’s ‘Gilley’s Club’ in Pasadena, Texas. In 2003 he moved the club to Cedars, Dallas. Gilley now owns the Shanghai Theater in Branson, Missouri where many of the show will be held.

One of the producers of ‘Urban Cowboy’ was Irving Azoff who instigated an incredible soundtrack for the movie featuring original songs for the film from Joe Walsh, Bob Seger, Anne Murray, Linda Ronstadt & JD Souther and Dan Fogelberg as well as the songs by Mickey Gilley and Johnny Lee.

The ‘Urban Cowboy’ soundtrack reached no 3 on the US album chart and generated six hit songs from Walsh, Gilley, Lee, Scaggs, Murray and Kenny Rogers.
