Mona Foma Offers Free Tickets To The Amish

Mona Foma curator Brian Ritchie has invited Pennysylvania’s Amish community to Mona Foma 2019.

In a statement Brian said, “Every year we invite someone to Mona Foma who we think will really appreciate the lineup, so this year we’re inviting the Amish. Specifically those on Rumspringa—which is like a year-long spring break for young Amish people where they try to cram in as many life experiences as possible. This year’s festival in Launceston will help do that.”

Brioan reached out to the Amish community via Mona Foma billboards and posters erected along horse routes in Lancaster County. Free tickets were also delivered to farmers at the local saddler.

Highlights of the 2019 event include Courtney Barnett, Mulatu Astatke, Neneh Cherry,Oneohtrix Point Never and Underworld.

Mona Foma’s main dates are 18-20 January in Hobart. Other events will begin in Launceston from 13 January.
