Neil Young Wants Your American Classic Cover

Neil Young is inviting musicians to cover an American classic and win $1000.

Young has reformed Crazy Horse for his new album ‘Americana’ featuring his own versions of American classics and wants musicians to cover one of the songs he has recorded for the album.

Participants may cover one of the following songs as featured on Neil Young’s ‘Americana’ album:

Oh Susannah
Clementine
Tom Dula
Gallows Pole
Get A Job
Travel On
High Flyin’ Bird
Jesus’ Chariot
This Land Is Your Land
Wayfarin’ Stranger
God Save The Queen

Young will select the winner and feature their song on his social media channels as well as popping 1000 bucks in their pocket for the effort.

Fans can also vote for their favorite cover with the highest voted winner getting $500 and the ‘Americana’ album.

Entries must be in by June 4. Voting is from June 5 to June 11 and the winner will be announced on June 25.

Neil Young and Crazy Horse will release ‘Americana’ on June 1.
