A new Bob Dylan compilation includes a performance recorded in 1966 at Sydney’s TCN 9 studio.

Dylan was in Sydney on April 13, 1966 where he recorded ‘Desolation Row’ at the television station in glorious Black & White, the choice of Australia at the time.

The Dylan live recording was previously released as part of the Bob Dylan Live In Sydney 1966 album released in December 2016.

The original studio version of ‘Desolation Row’ was released on Dylan’s ‘Highway 61 Revisited’ album on August 30, 1965. That track was recorded only weeks earlier on August 5.

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
