Mark Ronson has managed to make Paul McCartney sound like Paul McCartney again on a brand new song released today.
The song titled ‘New’ is the first taste of McCartney upcoming album also called ‘New’, due in October.
Ronson emulates Beatle producer George Martin’s style with a short reprise at the end of the song.
The only comment McCartney has made about the song so far is to say, “We can do what we want, we can live as we choose”, quoting a line from the song.
The ‘New’ album will feature 12 new Paul McCartney songs. It will be McCartney’s first album of original material in six years.
‘New’ will be released October 14 in the UK and October 15 in the USA.
