The Newtown Social Club, the venue formerly known as the Sandringham Hotel, has revealed the first acts after the reopening.
Live events will crank back up in May with Perch Creek Family Jugband. Seven acts have been announced through until Robyn Hitchcock in June. And more acts will be announced over the next fortnight.
The newly named Newtown Social is the sister venue to Melbourne’s Northcote Social Club, the Corner Hotel, 170 Russell (formerly Billboard) and Shebeen.
The 300 capacity room will host local and international acts up to seven nights a week.
