Over 130 Australian venues have registered shows for Thursday’s ‘Save Live Australia’s Music Day’.
In 2010, Melbourne hosted Australia’s largest ever cultural protest to help save live music venues from punitive liquor licensing laws. Now, over 130 venues around the country join in the fight to keep live Australian music kicking by hosting shows on National SLAM Day, tomorrow, Thursday 23 February.
Though the ‘festival’ is spread across the entire country, it would be the biggest single music event in the world.
There are surely heaps of SLAM gigs happening near you, so check out the full list of gigs here, pick one, and show your love for live Australian music tomorrow evening.
