Paul Simon’s sixth album – the five-times-Platinum, 14 million-selling, ground-breaking Graceland – turns 25 years old this year.

The celebrations are starting with a documentary about the making of album titled Paul Simon: Under African Skiespremiering at Sundance Film Festi

val, and forthcoming deluxe box set editions of the landmark album.

The documentary, directed by Emmy and Peabody Award-winning filmmaker Joe Berlinger (Metallica’s Some Kind Of Monster), follows Simon’s visit back to South Africa 25 years after making Graceland as he remembers its creation and the political situation that surrounded it.

Legacy Recordings will release a Graceland 25th anniversary commemorative edition deluxe collector’s box set and a special two-disc set, which will both feature the album complete with bonus tracks, as well as a director’s cut DVD of Under African Skies.

The documentary debuts at Sundance on January 22 and the box sets are planned to come out in the Northern Hemiphere’s Springtime.
