Jason Mason Trio will debut ‘The Stranger In The Mirror’ in May and have a month long preview of the album online before it arrives.

‘The Stranger In The Mirror’ sees Jake away from his band Cookin’ On 3 Burners for the first time. For the journey he has brought along James Sherlock on guitar and Danny Fischer on drums.

Mason reached back to the legendary Blue Note and Prestige labels to create a jazz album in ‘The Stranger In The Mirror’. “I love the place where Jazz and Soul meets” says Jake in a statement. “It has a simplicity that is so warm and welcoming combined with a complexity that is exciting and makes you move”

‘The Stranger In The Mirror’ will be available as a digital album, CD and on vinyl.

Jake Mason Trio will premiere ‘The Stranger In The Mirror’ live at Stonnington Jazz Festival on May 17.
