Prince Family Sues Doctor

by Paul Cashmere on August 25, 2018

in News

The family of Prince is suing his doctor for prescribing his pain pills.

Prince died of an accidental overdose in 2016. The family claims his doctor Michael Schulenberg acted irresponsibly by not treating his addition. Instead, Dr Schulenberg prescribed oxycodone to Prince under a fake name.

The family lawsuit claims the doctor could have prevented the singer’s death had he treated instead of fed the addiction.

Considering the worth of the singer and the potential lost income from his death the family is only going after $50,000, a somewhat measly amount considering the impact of any wrongdoing.

The case is not expected to have any substance.

Leo Sayer Shares His Thoughts on The Passing of Sly Stone

There really is a riot going on right now, so what a poignant moment it seems to be to lose a hero I never met, yet a man I often imagined as my soul brother. I worked with many of his alumni (including the man who helped invent him, fellow San Fran disk jockey Tom Donahue), and to say they and he inspired me would be a useless understatement.
