‘Red Dog’, the Australian hit movie of the year, has picked up a $100,000 cash prize at the Heartland Film Festival in Indiana.

Heartland awards the prize to the movie best judged to promote a positive change in people’s lives.

‘Red Dog’ stars Koko the kelpie. The movie is a true story about a dog that hitchhiked across the Australian outback in the 70s.

‘Red Dog’ stars Rachael Taylor, Josh Lucas and Noah Taylor and in one of his last roles, Bill Hunter.

Producer Nelson Woss and Koko the kelpie dropped into the Noise11 studio to talk about the movie and the soundtrack.
