Rock’s iconic The Faces, featuring Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones, were back together last night for one night only to raise money for Prostate Cancer research when lead singer Sir Rod Stewart dropped a bombshell.

At the event Sir Rod Stewart revealed that for the past three years he has been secretly undergoing treated for prostate cancer.

According to msn.com the show Rod told the audience “Tonight would be a nice night to come out of the closet.”

“No, it’s not what you think,” he added. “Two years ago I was -diagnosed with prostate cancer. No one knows this, but I thought this was about time I told everybody. I’m in the clear, now, simply because I caught it early. I have so many tests.”

Ronnie Wood organised the reunion to raise money for the Prostate Project and European Tour Foundation at the Wentworth Club in Surrey.
