Tedeschi Trucks Band is the combined talents of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks who combined to form one band after they married. ‘Revelator’, the debut joint effort, earned them a Grammy Award.

‘Made Up Mind’ was produced by Derek with Jim Scott, who also worked with Tedeschi Trucks Band on ‘Revelator’.

“This one feels like five steps forward,” Derek tells Noise11.com. “Everybody knows each other, everybody is more confident. It hits hard. We wrote a bunch of great tunes. I’m excited about this one. I think it will make some noise”.

Susan was amazed how strong all the songs were after they were recorded. “There are no sleepers,” she said. “Even our horn players said they were trying to fast forward but they couldn’t. It’s Grammy worthy.”

Winning the Grammy was a highlight for Susan as she had been nominated so many times before but had never won. “For me it was really special. I’d been nominated 6 times. To finally win and to win with Derek was really exciting. It was really special,” she said.

‘Made Up Mind’ will be released in August.
