Tex Perkins The Man In Black Postponed Due To Extreme Weather

Tex Perkins has been forced to postpone tonight’s performance of The Man In Black due to extreme weather.

Tasmania and Victoria have rocked by furious winds and rain all day. Flooding in Hobart has meant that The Man In Black The Johnny Cash Story cannot go ahead tonight.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and look forward to bringing The Man In Black to Hobart on June 15,” says promoter Duane McDonald. “We hope you are all safe and thank you for your understanding.”

The last time The Man In Black was toured Australia, the band were on the road for a massive 18-months, racking up sell-out shows and taking the music to some of the best venues in the country.

It’s no surprise the show is embraced so much by music-loving audiences – there are few artists within Australia who can translate the work of ‘The Man in Black’ and bring it to modern day like Tex Perkins. His reverence for Johnny Cash’s career is evident in the way he approaches every song.

Ticketholders can contact their place of purchase with any queries.

Leo Sayer Shares His Thoughts on The Passing of Sly Stone

There really is a riot going on right now, so what a poignant moment it seems to be to lose a hero I never met, yet a man I often imagined as my soul brother. I worked with many of his alumni (including the man who helped invent him, fellow San Fran disk jockey Tom Donahue), and to say they and he inspired me would be a useless understatement.
