The Angels will bring together three significant Australian bands from different chapters of the country’s rock history when they headline Selina’s in Sydney on February 20, 2027, for the 50th anniversary celebration of Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again. Boom Crash Opera and Eurogliders will join The Angels for the special show, with Disgraceland also on the bill.

The Selina’s performance will serve as the Sydney climax of The Angels’ Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again… 50 Years On national tour, turning the anniversary into a broader celebration of Australian rock rather than simply a retrospective of one song.

Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again has become one of The Angels’ defining songs since its release in 1976, but the Selina’s bill places it within a much wider Australian music story. Boom Crash Opera and Eurogliders emerged in the following decade and produced a string of enduring radio songs of their own.

For Boom Crash Opera, the Selina’s set provides an opportunity to revisit songs including Great Wall, Hands Up In The Air, Onion Skin, Get Out Of The House, The Best Thing and Dancing In The Storm.

Eurogliders will bring their catalogue to the same stage with songs including Heaven (Must Be There), We Will Together, Can’t Wait To See You, The City of Soul and Absolutely.

The Angels’ set is expected to draw from the catalogue that has kept the band central to Australian rock for five decades, including Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again, Take A Long Line, No Secrets, Shadow Boxer, Marseilles and Dogs Are Talking. We Gotta Get Out Of This Place is also listed among the songs associated with the celebration.

The Selina’s show is part of a national tour that has already prompted five additional dates to be added. The new shows extend the run through New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia, with a Tamworth date scheduled during the Tamworth Country Music Festival in January 2027.

The additional 2026 dates include shows at the Entrance Leagues Club on the Central Coast, Club Central Menai, Wallaby Hotel in Mudgeeraba and Kings Beach Tavern, while the January 18, 2027 performance at Longyard Hotel in Tamworth gives the tour a festival-season stop before the Sydney finale.

Disgraceland will appear with The Angels on the previously announced dates as well as the Selina’s show. The February concert, however, adds Boom Crash Opera and Eurogliders to create a particularly concentrated snapshot of Australian rock across the decades.

The choice of Selina’s also connects the anniversary to one of Sydney’s long-running live music venues. For The Angels, the February performance will be the point where a year of 50th anniversary touring reaches its largest shared celebration.

Tickets for the Selina’s show are on sale now through The Angels’ official website.

Dates:
Mon 18 Jan, Tamworth, Longyard Hotel
Fri 13 Nov, Central Coast, Entrance Leagues Club

Fri 4 Dec, Mudgeeraba, Wallaby Hotel

The Angels’ Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again… 50 Years On tour continues through 2026 and into 2027, with the Selina’s concert positioned as the anniversary celebration’s Sydney finale.
