The Aussie BBQ is heading to Central Park, New York to showcase Hermitude, San Cisco, The Teskey Brothers, Tkay Midza, WAAX and A.B. Original.

New Yorkers will witness come of the cream of new Australian artists with thanks to with Sounds Australia, the Australian Consul-General, New York and the Australia Council for the Arts.

“The Consulate is so pleased to be bringing such talented Australian musicians to the heart of New York. The sharing of cultures and art between our two great countries is what makes us such close friends. Earlier this year the Consulate brought the triple j Hottest 100 countdown to New York and supported The Rubens on their North American Tour – THE AUSSIE BBQ SummerStage is going to be a fantastic afternoon with long reaching connections and impact,” Australian Consul-General to New York, Alastair Walton said in a statement.

Sounds Australia’s Millie Millgate said, “Being able to present a line-up of such important talent, in the heart of New York City in celebration of ten years of exporting Australian music to the world, is a milestone event we are incredibly proud of. We are hoping that this inaugural showcase is only the first of many and just the beginning of a long term partnership with SummerStage.”

The Aussie BBQ Summerstage will start at 2pm on Saturday June 22, 2019.
