The Grateful Dead Create A Spin-Off

Dead & Company, the 3/4 version of the Grateful Dead with guitarist John Mayer, have announced their first dates as a band.

Just a few weeks after the Grateful Dead completed their five “Fare Thee Well” shows, the band Dead & Company was announced with Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann from the original band (Phil Lesh is not participating), Mayer, Oteil Burbridge on bass and Jeff Chimenti on keyboards.

The short tour starts in Albany, NY on October 29 and continues sporadicallly through to a New Year’s Eve show at The Forum in Los Angeles.

Pre-sale of tickets starts tomorrow at 10 AM local time and runs through Thursday at 10 PM.

11/05 – Philadelphia, PA – Wells Fargo Center
11/06 – Washington, DC – Verizon Center

12/28 – San Francisco, CA – Bill Graham Civic Auditorium
12/30 – Los Angeles, CA – The Forum
12/31 – Los Angeles, CA – The Forum
