London club icons The Orb have announced their 17th album Abolition Of The Royal Familia.

Founding member Alex Paterson has been a leader in London’s famed underground club scene since the band’s inception in 1988.

Paterson’s current co-conspirator is young London producer Michael Rendall, who has been touring with Paterson to celebrate the band’s 30th anniversary.

Abolition of the Royal Familia will feature collaborations with Roger Eno, Youth and 70s experimental psych band Gong’s Miquette Giraudy and Steve Hillage.
