The Seekers Golden Jubilee farewell performance will screen in Melbourne on May 11.

Fans of The Seekers in their hometown of Melbourne will be treated to the one-off screening at the Astor Theatre in St Kilda at 10:30am on 11 May, 2019.

The Seekers ‘Farewell’ was recorded and filmed in Melbourne during the 2013 farewell tour when the quartet marked their golden jubilee.

The album debuted at no 4 on the ARIA a week ago and held at no 5 this week. It is the biggest selling Australian artist album this week outselling popstar Dean Lewis, hip-hop act Hilltop Hoods and classic rock veterans INXS, Cold Chisel, Crowded House and AC/DC.

All four members of The Seekers are in the 70s. Judith Durham is 75, Athol Guy is 79, Keith Potger is 78 and Bruce Woodley is 76.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
