The Tea Party Celebrate 20 Years Of Transmission On Australian Tour

by Paul Cashmere on November 2, 2017

in News

The Tea Party have kicked off their Australian tour to mark the 20th anniversary of their 1997 ‘Transmission’ album but there are also a few tributes through the show.

At the first gig in Perth homages to David Bowie, U2, Jeff Buckley and the Rolling Stones were sprinkled through the show.

The core of the tour is to mark the 20th anniversary of the fourth The Tea Party album ‘Transmission’. While the band is performing the album in full, they are not performing it in order.

The Tea Party bass player Stuart Chatwood explained to Noise11 that the out-of-sequence performance is required to consider the instruments used on each track and tuning needed for each song.
