Tom Petty’s recent interview with Rolling Stone magazine will be his last, with the singer declaring he will no longer be talking to the press.
The 55-year-old, who has already indicated that he will not continue to perform after his upcoming tour with The Heartbreakers, told Rolling Stone, “This is the last interview I am doing, because I have to live life. I can’t spend every day fulfilling the needs of the label of the media in order to promote the record. I love the record and I really care about it, but there is a point (during interviews) where you start to not like yourself”.
Petty’s new album, ‘Highway Companion’, will be released at the end of July.
