Wage War have announced their new album Landfall, with the title track released now and the full record scheduled for October 9 through Fearless Records.

Florida metalcore band Wage War have confirmed their new album Landfall, due digitally on October 9 via Fearless Records. The announcement follows the April release of the It Calls Me By Name EP and the band’s five-date Australian headline tour, which concluded in Sydney on August 7. The album’s title track is available now, accompanied by a visualiser.
The announcement gives context to what had initially appeared to be a run of standalone releases from Wage War in 2026. The band released It Calls Me By Name in April, followed by “Sweet Dreams” in August. The latter was presented as a standalone single at the time, while the new Landfall announcement establishes a larger body of work behind the year’s releases.
The title track moves between aggressive guitar-driven passages and melodic vocals, with Briton Bond’s lead vocals contrasted by Cody Quistad’s clean singing. The song begins with an emergency broadcast-style alarm before moving into a heavy riff, reflecting the record’s central imagery of danger and forces beyond human control.
Wage War describe “Landfall” as a song about imminent danger and the realisation that people are not always in control of events around them. The band’s Florida background informed the hurricane imagery used in the song, which they say became a way of expressing the experience of being at the mercy of something larger.
The musical arrangement follows that concept. The verses were designed to feel heavy and threatening, according to the band, while the chorus takes a more sombre and inevitable approach. The result places the song between the extreme and melodic elements that have characterised Wage War’s recorded work.
The album will contain 13 tracks, including “Sweet Dreams”, “Song Of The Swamp” and the previously released title track.
Wage War formed in Ocala, Florida, in 2010, initially operating under the name Empires before adopting their current identity. The band’s debut album, Blueprints, was released in 2015 and established the core combination of heavy guitar work, breakdowns and melodic passages that would continue through their catalogue.
Deadweight followed in 2017, with Pressure released in 2019. The band’s fourth album, Manic, appeared in 2021, extending their approach through more developed production and arrangements.
The 2024 album Stigma marked another stage in that progression. One of its singles, “Magnetic”, reached number one on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, giving Wage War a significant result beyond the band’s established metalcore audience.
The current lineup consists of Briton Bond on lead vocals, Cody Quistad on rhythm guitar and clean vocals, Seth Blake on lead guitar, Chris Gaylord on bass and Stephen Kluesener on drums.
Their 2026 activity began with It Calls Me By Name, followed by “Sweet Dreams”. The latter continued the heavier direction of the EP while retaining melodic components from earlier periods of the band’s catalogue.
Wage War’s Australian tour in July and August provided the most recent live chapter before the album announcement. The five-date headline run began in Perth on July 30 and continued through Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane before concluding at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion on August 7. Orthodox and Heavensgate supported the tour.
The Australian dates followed the band’s appearance at Knotfest Australia in 2024 and added another headline run to a touring history that has included performances alongside Slipknot, A Day To Remember, Papa Roach and Parkway Drive.
With Landfall, Wage War now have a defined album campaign following a year that has already included an EP, a standalone single and an international touring schedule. The record’s title track provides the first indication of how those recent releases connect within the band’s next full-length statement.
The album will be released digitally on October 9 through Fearless Records.
