Wayne Kramer Announces First MC5 Dates

Wayne Kramer recently announced that he had assembled a new band to tour the MC5 album Kick Out The Jams for its 50th anniversary with Soundgarden’s Kim Thayil, Fugazi’s Brendan Canty, King’s X’s Dug Pinnick, and vocalist Marcus Durant of Zen Guerrilla.

The dates for that tour have now been announced starting September 5 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and running through October 27 in hometown Detroit.

The band only released three album, 1969’s Kick Out the Jam, 1970’s Back in the U.S.A. and 1971’s High Time but are considered one of the most important bands of the time.
