The Wooten brothers, Victor, Regi and Joseph where a cool alternative to New York’s heatwave last week when they chilled the city’s historic Blue Note Jazz Club.

Noise11’s New York based Chief Operating Officer Nick Kontonicolas attended the intimate show at the iconic Blue Note venue as a guest of the Wootens.

The night was a special occasion with five-time Grammy winner Victor Wooten who is also a founding member of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones; keyboard player and 26 year veteran of the Steve Miller Band Joseph Wooten and maestro guitarist and teacher Regi Wooten.

Rounding out the band Derico Watson was on drums and vocals and Karlton Taylor on keyboards and vocals.

Nick Kontonicolas has developed a trusted relationship with the Wootens. Together he sees the opportunity for expanding Noise11’s cultural base with the Jazz and R&B excellence the Wootens have been creating. “As Noise11 expands into new territories it is important that we work with the music experts in each country to help artists transition music creation as export,” Mr. Kontonicolas says. “Technology is rapidly changing how fans absorb music and artists need to likewise change to accommodate that. It is now more important than ever before that artists start to think of themselves as businesses and plan their long-term strategy to achieve their goals. My friends the Wooten family understand and appreciate this vision. I’m excited where our conversations are leading”.
