Phil Campbell & The Bastard Sons have pushed their long-awaited Australian tour back to March 2026 following the sudden departure of frontman Joel Peters.

When Noise11 asked former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell which album from his tenure with the band he was most proud of, his answer was immediate.

Phil Campbell co-wrote nearly every Motörhead classic from Orgasmatron (1986) through to Bad Magic (2015). In this exclusive Noise11 interview with Paul Cashmere, Phil looks back on three decades with Lemmy, Motörhead’s legendary legacy, and his new life fronting Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.

Phil Campbell’s first major gig as a member of Motörhead wasn’t on a stage – it was on television. Within a week of joining the legendary band in 1984, Campbell found himself on the set of the cult British comedy The Young Ones.

Few would argue ‘Ace of Spades’ is the greatest Motörhead song of all time. The good news is the song lives on with Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell and his current band Phil Campbell and the Bastard Sons.
