Celebrated US songwriter Simone Felice discusses his vivid, brutal debut novel Black Jesus.

Simone Felice has moved audiences worldwide with the roots Americana combos  The Felice Brothers and The Duke & The King. Now he is stirring readers with his critically-acclaimed debut novel Black Jesus, a bracing and visceral tale of how a blinded returning US soldier and an ex-stripper’s lives collide.

We talk to Felice about the novel, its autobiographical elements, the heart surgery he was recovering from when he wrote it, and just a little bit about music.
