Jimi Hocking will headline the first Docklands Blues Music Festival in Melbourne in October.

Hocking has passed the benchmark thirty year anniversary in the music business, first in rock bands before evolving to blues around 1999.

His rock past includes stints with The Angels, The Screaming Jets and Jimmy Barnes and for the past 28 years has been delivering his own brand of rock and blues with his solo records.

The Docklands Blues Music Festival is a free event for the people of Melbourne on Sunday October 5. As well as the Jimi Hocking Band, the event will feature Nick Charles, Johnny Rieger Band, Sweet Felicia & The Honeytones and Blue Eyes Cry. (full details here)
