Jardine, co-founder of the Beach Boys, will be playing a pair of dates in Minneapolis and Phoenix with his “A Postcard from California–From the Very First Song With a Founding Member of the Beach Boys” show.

Plans for the shows are to perform songs from the earliest days of the Beach Boys right up through Al’s most recent solo albums. Jardine will be playing acoustic guitar and will be joined by his son, Matt Jardine. For those not lucky enough to have seen the Brian Wilson “Pet Sounds Tour”, Matt was a true revelation during the shows, singing a brilliant, crystal clear flasetto.

There will also be a Q&A period during the show.

Dates:
01/23 – Minneapolis, MN – The Dakota
01/24 – Minneapolis, MN – The Dakota
01/29 – Phoenix, AZ – Musical Instrument Museum
01/30 – Phoenix, AZ – Musical Instrument Museum

Jardine promises that additional dates will be announced in the near future.

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
