Gotye And Walk Off The Earth Videos Pass 100 Million YouTube Views

In the last few hours the ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ videos by Gotye featuring Kimbra and the cover by Walk Off The Earth featuring Sarah Blackwood have been collectively viewed more than 100 million times on YouTube.

The tally at press time was 100,241,642 views.

Of those, the original Gotye featuring Kimbra video has had 56,401,971 views and Walk Off The Earth featuring Sarah Blackwood has had 43,839,671 views.

Views for the Walk Off The Earth cover might very well pass Gotye’s original within a matter of weeks. The Gotye video has been online for seven months now while the Walk Off The Earth clip has only been up for three weeks.

Gotye is about to embark on a US tour with Kimbra which could generate new interest in views.

‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ by Gotye and Kimbra has been at number one for the past four weeks in Germany. It will be released in the UK in March.
