Josh Groban took ‘intimate mode’ to its literal meaning when he performed for 200 fans at Melbourne’s Chapel Off Chapel on Friday evening.

Groban is in Australia to launch his new album ‘Stages’ and announce his 2016 tour, in much larger theatre surroundings.

On Friday, as a special show for Melbourne radio station 3AW, Groban sang, chatted with the audience and then went one on one for a light-hearted conversation for 3AW’s Dee Dee Dunleavy.

A surprise for the audience was an unexpected appearance from Australian stage performer Claire Lyon, the current star of the Aussie stage production of ‘Anything Goes’ and former ‘Phantom of the Opera’ star to perform the Phantom of the Opera classic ‘All I Ask Of You’. He performs the song with Kelly Clarkson on his ‘Stages’ album.
